Asana Umalas was first built as a family house in Umalas in 1992. The house was the venue of the “Bali White Party” in 1998 and host several world famous artists, It was then transformed into a rental villa. The semi-modern Balinese colonial style building of 600 square meters sits on a 1700 m2 block of land. Fully refurbished in 2017. The architecture features a blend of modern and traditional elements, boasting 7 spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Open air Terraces and living and dining rooms; Air-conditioning reading room.

Entry to the complex is through a set of large double, antique Javanese wooden gates (Gebyok) that open to a spacious, mature lawn with gardens and a 14-meter-long swimming pool. Stepping up a staircase to a colonial-feeling front terrace leads you to semi-open dining room and elegant air-conditioned living room with a back terrace—all overlooking a courtyard setting garden.

Accommodations at Asana Umalas offer a single-storey, semi-open dining and air-conditioned living room and seven air-conditioned bedrooms complete with ensuite bathrooms. The bedrooms are situated at the back of the property in a courtyard setting with a ‘relaxation bale’. Each bedroom has a safe deposit box and wifi internet. The seven air-conditioned guest bedrooms are located in two-storey separate pavilions. The semi-open dining room and air-conditioned living room is simply decorated with Javanese colonial antiques and modern furniture. Modern equipped kitchen and staff service area is adjacent to the dining and living rooms. The large garden is shaded by beautiful mature trees and landscaped with a terraced lawn. Side by side to the garden is a fourteen-metre swimming pool.

The Manager and the Staff will meet and greets guests on arrival, leads the staffing team to meet the expectations of each guest. They will be in charge of housekeeping. They will work as a team and will take care of maintaining the landscape and the pool without disturbing the guests. The landlord lives nearby and is readily accessible to address all upkeep concerns
